Back in 2013, I decided to create an interactive piece of art for a festival in north Georgia. My design was based on the space traveling TARDIS that has a bigger on the inside photobooth. The photos taken in the booth were live streamed to a monitor on the front. A video was created using the photos taken to showcase the events participants (see below). Towards the end of the event, the piece was burned to create a beautiful TARDIS shaped bonfire.
The project took a total of 7 months from my initial designs all the way through construction. It was by far the most ambitious art project I have built to date, and it was one of the most fun.
CADing the Design:
The raw materials
A scarf made by a friend during the project.
The bench to house the electronics.
Custom stencil for the doors.
More custom stencils for the signs.
Finally, everything was completed and reassembled on site.
